[10/19/2003] Keishu Takeuchi was a student of the great Meiji ukiyo-e master Yoshitoshi Tsukioka. As typically for the epoch of the late 19th or early 20th century, Keishu Takeuchi worked as an illustrator for so-called Kuchi-e-cover-illustrations for periodicals and novels.
In the background the traditional Buddhist symbol.
