Fests of the Sun - tradition of the swastika counting-manner the Indian tradition
Rationally and historically, the eight parties can be described anticlockwise in the circle of the year. As immediate access to the revelation, they become comprehensible through the tradition of the swastika, whose counting-manner has protected the Indian tradition.It derives from the law of the Five. Its sequence originates clockwise in the right angle, the archetype of the space-understanding.

Therefor we have to determine the directions from a different point of view on the context of the realm of nature with the universe once again in order to understand the revelations of the human being with it in the universe then.

In the east the fire becomes comprehensible, the sun rises. This is the place of all revelation and vision. The fire is immortal, its light is rooted in dying, the de- becoming of the matter. Creativity and the sexuality are in the human being, the physical access for mating.

The west is the place of sinking of the heaven. Light turns into the power, that we are accessible by the existing matter. It is the world of the mineral, the frozen energy with its own-mobility in the framework of the four strengths; place of strength-finding and independence of the desire.

The south is the place of noonday and the conscious time, that becomes aware only in daylight. This is the empire of the plants that is capable, to split the water through the energy of the sunlight and to build its materiality with the energy it won. It is the place of the growth and the innocence, the trust, the main focus of the soul.

The north is the place of the polar-star, around which the whole heaven spins, the midnight. It forms the access to the empire of the animals, that are steered from the motives, the dreams and nourishes themself from the death of other creatures. It is the place of strategies, wisdom, the integration in the universe and therefore the place of thinking.

The middle is the axis between earth and heavens, between strength of the matter and vision of the light, that always originates another place of the firmament because of the spin of the earth. This is the place of the human being, the incarnate word, that should guarantee the balance between fires and mineral, plant and animal through his vertical connection to earth and heavens. His middle-role becomes conscious through the ability of the language.
In the picture of the swastika, the four primary directions are accessible from the middle. However the human being is not alone, he is limb of the cosmic mankind, that includes the four empires of nature as her part. So that this classification becomes comprehensible, a right angle must be created from the soundcircle to the light-circle from each of the four edges.

Southeast is the fire of the human being, that induces him as intention,: it is the world of the spirit and the ancestors, the history.

Southwest is the mineral of the human being, the elementary-strengths, holding together the body, which have to be regarded as lively spirits and which determine as dreams and body-pictures, the vitality of the body .

Northwest is the vegetability of the human being, his ability of growing in the feeling. This is already beyond the body and can be integrated only in conscious community. The satisfaction of the needs requires understanding of the own place in the cosmic metabolism.

Northeast is the animal of the human being,its role as " medicine " in the civilization as higher correspondence to the ecosystems of the animals. This is the place of the feeling as work, the ability of all movements, the human civilization in Chinese sense.

On the other hand, the middle as consciousness of all people is the wheel, law of the reason and the realization, the union of all understand-laws as bearings-frameworks between heavens and earth. The higher self, that is not incarned in the life, is there personally, it is behind the threshold of the deep sleep.


In the Indian tradition, these ten, that determine the existence on the earth between birth and death, have a higher naguale correspondence from 11 to 20. This is the cosmic essences. 15 is the human being in the universe, in the south of the middle, 20 is the big spirit and the death in the west of the middle; 5 is in the south, the human being himself, 10, in the north as thought-structure, and zero, the true middle, means the union with the middle of the earth and the divine origin of the love. However, all these work in the life through the first ten numbers.
