Spain - The Basque Cross Lau-Buru - la Croix Basque

[10/26/2003] The Basque cross "Lau-Buru", which means "four heads", can be found everywhere in Basque country located in the West-End of the Pyrenees and is called the Rose Lau-Buru or Basque Swastika.

It decorates also numerous grave roofs. This ‘rose’ as they called it,
is mostly anticlockwise turning, some exceptions are pictured clockwise.
